A passionate educator, Ms. Abira Mishra has over 24 years of teaching and administrative experience, working in various institutions across the country. She is a postgraduate in International Relations from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and a certified ‘Green Teacher’. Having worked with both CBSE and ICSE Boards, she strives to enhance the learning experiences of students through a variety of child-centric approaches. She has in-depth knowledge of the CBSE processes and systems and keeps herself abreast of the latest developments in the field of education, which form the base of NEP. She is also an enthusiastic environmentalist who believes in the integration of environmental education into the mainstream curriculum and the involvement of students in sustainable development issues. She believes that education should empower the learners to develop 21st century skills and equip them to cope with real-life situations.

Ms. Abira loves reading and travelling and is an enthusiastic debater and public speaker. She strongly believes in Tagore’s philosophy that the main aim of teaching is not to give explanations but to knock at the door of the minds. As the Principal of PICT Model School, she endeavours to ensure that the team works towards achieving the mission and vision of the institution. She strives to learn every day, bring in new insights into the teaching-learning processes and work with all the stakeholders to constantly evolve and strive towards excellence.
